In a nutshell, radio ads are flat and advertisers want a better way of
tracking listenership.
"The new study, conducted by Forrester Research and commissioned by the
Radio Advertising Bureau,
explored how Arbitron Inc's Portable People Meter electronic ratings
service, now being tested in Houston,
would affect the $20 billion radio industry as it struggles against
increased competition from satellite radio,
iPods and other devices."
