new owner for WNDS TV

Today's Union Leader reports Channel 50 has been sold to ShootingStar Broadcasting of New England, LLC, headed by CEO Diane Sutter.  No price is given.  ShootingStar is based in California and the article says Sutter also owns(ed) a CBS TV affiliate in Abeline, TX.  Sutter is a 30-year broadcast vet who has had TV experience since 1996.

Assuming FCC approval, the change of door locks should occur in late summer.

One wonders if Alicia Preston knew this was in the WINDS (sorry) before resigning last week as news director....
