I worked with a guy named Chris Thomas in Florida at WFLA and I was 
saddened to learn he passed a month ago at the age of 55. Chris was a 
loose canyon but was beloved in Tampa Bay.

I am passing on this link as it tells the story of how he got fired at 
WBAL TV in Baltimore in 1988
It is a classic broadcast story.
