The print media never gave him a shot.

Truth is Channel 7 had an excellent product with Scarboro and an anchor 
from Maine ( Lee Nelson?)
but they were Channel 7.

7 did everything right when they became CBS in 1972 but viewers were set 
with Ch 4 and 5.

You got to remember 7 had a NINE year headstart on Ch 5 but General Tire 
could not care less about local news. 7 produced nobody that anybody 
remembers except for Louise Morgan.
