Yeah, there were an awful lot of audio dropouts.  Maybe that "newfangled"
delay device was hiccupping.  Of course, it's also possible the dropouts
were happening somewhere downstream - were you also watching Channel 4
via Comcrash?  (Though at least one audio boo-boo was definitely onsite -
when Celine Dion's microphone wouldn't come on, there were a few seconds
of control room audio that came through.  Good thing they weren't using
naughty language, either...)
