While Zip may have worked at Ch. 7 (though I don't think he was there when 
RKO General owned it), he was well-established in the midwest before he 
came to Boston.  Remember him being in Cincinnati in the late 70s/early 
80s.  Not a sports fan, or much of a watcher of tv news, but I do recall 
hearing a parody of Robert Palmer's "Bad Case Of Loving You" that 
referenced Zip.
