Typo on my part

Still for 9 years they and Ch 4 were the only game in town. NOBODY 
remembers 7 news in those years.

They DID try starting around 1970, in fact with a format called New 
England Tonight with a blaring band intro. Didn't catch in Boston, and 
news director sold Ch 6 in Philly the idea. Action News was born.

They also tried bigtime in 1972 when they became CBS, with Chuck 
Scarboro and Lee Nelson....again didn't catch. 4 and 5 owned local. 
Chuck went to WNBC and Lee went back to Maine.
