I spent Hurricane Gloria in the dark at WCLZ in Brunswick -- in the building right beside the tower. I had heard about a couple of radio towers coming down earlier in the day. It made for a long night. The engineer woke me up in the middle of night. He said he just came down to see if the tower was still up.
