Public Radio funding tidbit

FWIW - Mary Anne Nichols just announced in her pitching on WBUR that 
federal funding makes up about 8% of their annual funding.

According to a FY1999 statement, that's about the same as then.

On oddity...this morning Jane Christo said that their operating expenses 
were about $1.5 million per month ($18 million annually - up from $11.7 
million in FY1999 - yowsa!).  Yet this fundraiser's goal is only $1 million.
