I have no doubt the story is true.

The Pops still uses one of his songs at xmas time (snow snow wonderful 
snow)

I can recall like yesterday one of the funniest shows ever on local TV. 
Al Capp had Sherm and Pat Cooper on and Al couldn't get a word in. In 
fact I think Capp used to tape the show at the Buckminster.
