If the fundraising is unambiguous that the funds are supporting both WJUL 
and the Sun's non-profit, I don't see how that would trigger oversight from 
the AG.  And the non-profit no doubt can absorb a LOT of the infrastructure 
costs the for-profit Sun currently does.

Even so, if nothing else this gives the Sun a big honking platform to hawk 
their paper from, and allows some serious leverage in selling advertising 
in the paper as well.   I don't think they'd do it unless they were pretty 
sure they'd be able to get a real monetary value from it in short order.
