All Beatles

The "all-Beatles, all the time" format was on 1260AM in Los Angeles a few
years ago, not stunting, but 24/7 and it lasted (surprisingly!) for many
months. The station ( with 20Kw at 1260 ) was also once K-JOY, then K-JAZZ
, All-Jazz, now it is all-nostalgia K-SURF with a duplicate signal at 540AM
(a Mexican station for San Diego.) The owner also has KMZT-FM "K-Mozart"
with free classical music for Los Angeles, its a commercial station.

"All-Anything" is not a new programming concept in LA, after all. When the
same Mt. Wilson Broadcasters owned 1650AM with 10Kw power, they were
"All-Traffic, all the time" - with just live freeway and traffic reports,
24/7 (well...they taped and repeated some short segments to get a cup of
coffee! After all, how many times can you say nothing about traffic
conditions?) Now it's an "All Asian" format at 1650AM.

When 1150AM was duplicating KISS-FM "Top 40" (KIIS 102.7FM) and was going
to change to a sports-talk format, the stunted with a looping a long tape of
only baseball stuff (songs about baseball, baseball's historic moments,
basball nostalgic interviews, yada yada) and that was on for weeks, 24/7 the
same, one hour tape every hour!! Sort of an "All Baseball all the time"
kind of thing.

And, of course, KFWB is "All News all the time" 980AM.
