Interesting! (I remember when I first got cable--
on the very day the Sox played game 6 of the
1986 World Series. One of the channels I got at that
time was WGN, and I remember seeing Zimmer, then
managing the Cubs, doing local car commercials.
By the way it was said that the Sox
might try to buy a radio station of their own which
they could kind of run like NESN: have the Red
Sox games, maybe sports talk (and yes, they might
allow the talent to say what they want about the
direction of the Olde Town Team--that's the case
on NESN, isn't it? Analysis and all).
If this were to be, whom could they afford, and
who would want to sell? (And would they try to get the
calls WSOX... :) )
