Incredible as it may seem now, for a period of time, WBZ-TV
(then an NBC affil) chose not to carry H/B, so WGBH-TV
carried it right after Louis Lyons minus commercials!
A surviving link to this storied newscast...for some time, the Huntley-Brinkley newscast opened with the "downbeat"
to the scherzo from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony;
Keith Olberman uses a digitized version as bumper
between segments.
