I remember when the boston radio and TV stations used to carry the state political
conventions live. Of course, the conventions were more important in those days.

I might have been interested in this particular event if I had actually seen this e-mail before
Sunday morning -- and if I hadn't been at the convention myself as a delegate. Sometime
after the convention, I drove by WCAP, but I couldn't listen on the car radio because my car
radio is broken, and I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. I was using an old walkman in
my car, connected to computer speakers, but that suddenly stopped working. Then I began
using an old transistor radio, again connected to the computer speakers because it sounded
slightly better that way. But a few days ago, the tuning knob stopped working, so that the
radio is permanently tuned (slightly de-tuned, actually) to WBZ.
