groovy radio?

While going through my Boston clipping files for the 60s, I found an early
November 1969 ad in the Boston Globe for WBOS, 92.9FM, with the slogan "The
Groovy One-- 24 hour stereo for groovy grownups." I was heavily involved
in college radio back then, on the air at the soon-to-be WRBB at
Northeastern (it was still WNEU in 1969), and wasn't paying a lot of
attention to WBOS-- or perhaps I wasn't a groovy grownup yet. So does
anybody remember that incarnation of WBOS? What was their format and who
was the PD?
