WCAP Morning Co-Host Suspended For 2 Weeks

    Today's (5/18) Lowell Sun reports that WCAP (980 Lowell) "Morning
Information Team" co-host Pat McCarthy has been suspended for 2 weeks as the
result of what the paper calls "a recent dustup" McCarthy had with WCAP
salesperson (and "Saturday Morning Live" co-host) Linda Kapeckas that
apparently occurred inside the "Afternoon Live Sidewalk Studios" at Gary
Francis' Downtown Lowell ice cream shop.

   The Sun reports that according to sources inside the station, the episode
is a spillover from a simmering feud between McCarthy and Warren Shaw, the
host of "Saturday Morning Live". No word on who will join George Anthes in
the "Morning Information Team" co-host seat during McCarthy's absence.
