It's also Patriots' Day weekend in Maine, the other state besides Mass. that 
celebrates Patriots' Day. I think this anomaly dates back to when Maine was 
part of Massachusetts.

I know this isn't radio related (there was no radio when Maine was part of 
Massachusetts), but when did Maine become a state in its own right?
