RE: First IBOC FM in Boston - I think

Apparently, as of late last month, the FCC no longer requires STA when
commencing IBOC broadcasting.

"IBOC Notification Procedures Effective Immediately, Public Notice, DA
03-831, released March 20. 2003.

AM or FM stations implementing IBOC hybrid digital operation must notify
the FCC in writing within 10 days of commencing such operation."

According to the list in last weeks Radio World, the only Massachusetts
station that has so far pulled a CP for IBOC was WKLB-FM, Lowell.
