I'm not convinced that the only all-news signal in a top ten market can't
pony up the resources to _gather_ enough news and public interest info as
well as <gasp> investigative reporting (remember that?) to make a go of
it.  Obviously, we're talking about a successful station, ratings and
sales-wise, so they are doing what it takes to keep the lights on and keep
Uncle Mel happy.

I just think it's neat when broadcasters make it necessary for those who
may be the subject of news to bring a spare pair of skibbies to the
office, just in case.  Is that a lot to ask?
