The song was written during the Afghan conflict,
as a way of saying, "We're doing this because of
9/11". When Worley's song mentions "this war", he's
referring to that; the implication is that people
will think he's talking about the upcoming Iraq
conflict.
Keep in mind that after 9/11, the President said we
will defeat not just the terrorists but those who
support them. It's quite possible that Hussein
may have funded and supported Al Queda. In that way,
though, the song may be appropriate: "And they say we
shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden/ Have you
forgotten?" Again, Hussein is probably a part of the
whole Bin Laden puzzle (and also Iraq may be the
source of the anthrax which killed 3 people,
including two postal workers. I'm a postal worker
myself so that kinda hit home...)
