Fox tends to rely on local stations more than CNN. In this case, everyone
was relying on local stations so that was less of an issue.
My impression is that Fox has less reporters than CNN. Fox has weaker
anchors.
The difference really stands out on international stories. On typical live
DC coverage, Fox does fine.
With this story, it was the local Fox affiliate that was on the scene before
the fire started so they had a head start on everyone else. That probably
helped the national Fox coverage on this story.
