WAMC replaces WMNR on 91.9

The 1-watt transmitter in Southington, CT, is now carrying WAMC Albany,
replacing WMNR Monroe. It's been added to WAMC's top-of-the-hour litany,
so the move apparently is permanent.

Good move, in my opinion. This will bring Southington and Meriden public
radio programming unavailable on Connecticut Public Radio, which sticks
to classical music and NPR's "greatest hits" (Car Talk, Prairie Home
Companion, All Things Considered, etc.). Now we'll get shows Mountain
Stage and the daffy Schickele Mix on weekends.

Any idea whether WAMC has further plans to push into Connecticut?
