Not exactly the same but somewhat similar... I was 12 or 13 at the time and
went into Radio Shack to get a walkman. When I went to the counter, I told
the clerk I didn't want to give him my address. He responded by stating that
by not giving him the address, I was voiding any warranty on the item or the
right to return the item to RS.
