First off, my original point was to oppose the eventual lifting of the
rule allowing publishers to purchase broadcast outlets in the same
market,  no dead horse there as a matter of fact they are approaching the
barn now with the keys to unlock the door.
Secondly, if you think local government, or even county government is 3rd
district race for dogcatcher then maybe it's been way too long since you
heard good local coverage
