RE: Clear Channel Mentioned in Today's Globe

Technically correct, but CCU also owns two Boston-area AMs: (WXKS (AM) Everett
and WKOX Framingham). If CCU is able to build out WKOX's most recent
application to move to Newton and increase to 50 kW-U from the WUNR site, the
station will be positioned to compete in the Boston Market, which it cannot do
with its current facilities.

I just returned from Tampa, where CCU owns at least two AMs: WFLA 970 (talk)
and WHNZ 1250 (business talk). Both now operate from a shared site with 25 kW-D
and lesser power at night. Together with WDAE 620 (Fox sports), which CCU may
also own, these are the market's best AM signals. CCU's positioning of a major
AM in Tampa as a business-talk station suggests what may happen here if the
WKOX upgrade gets built before this millennium ends. If Alex Langer fails to
build his CP to add night service for WBIX, CCU may lure the Bleidt's business-
talk LMA away from 1060, leaving that signal to take over the Spanish and
Portuguese brokered-time programming that is currently on WKOX.
