Re: XM Receivers

Pioneer as well as several other brands sell an AM/FM/CD radio that is
capable of controlling an outboard (proprietary) box that contains the XM
receive in it. You can buy them a la carte or together in a package. The
XM box will only work with their (Pioneer) heads.

Sony makes an add-on box with several connection options. One option
rebroadcasts through your FM, another uses a dummy cassette. The third uses
a RCA plug-in.

Both my wife and I have had XM radios for about a year now and love them.
Overall the sound quality is great and we've listened to it while traveling
all over the East Coast. I'm picking up a new Nissan this afternoon with
one factory installed.
