Interesting to note that the Green Party nominee in
Maine got $1 million in public financing for his
campaign and was in all the debates.  He got 9% of the
vote.  In 1994, with no money, the same guy got % of
the vote.

The Greens did elect a State Representative in
Portland and there were 3 Independents elected.  The
four Representatives from outside of the two major
parties will be the largest number in the Maine House
since 1915.

As for the rest of the races in Maine: As Maine goes,
the nation goes in the opposite direction.
