Well the scuttlebutt on the ne.weather newsgroup is that Ch. 5
wanted to put a female meteorlogist on the weekends, as is the case
with the other major local sations. So aparently, J. C. Monahan is
going to be on weekends, for now.

I just looked at the Herald's on-line article regarding the Mark Rosenthal
firing, and it confirms what was posted on the weather newsgroup - Rosenthal
was let go on friday.
