Trops last night

Hey folks
Just wondering how the trops were around New
England and beyond last night (Sept 17). Here in
Poughkeepsie NY they seemed to be up BIG TIME. Most
of Long Island's FMs were blasting in here like locals
(WBLI, WALK, and 98.3 [don't know the calls] in
particular). And then, although this wouldn't be a
trop issue, after I got home at a little after
midnight, suddenly I started getting Philadelphia FMs
also blasting in here. I was listening to WJJZ in the
apartment for almost an hour, it was overpowering the
WPDH translator on 106.1 out of Orange County, and out
in my car I also logged WIOQ 102.1, and the urban
station on 98.9 coming in like locals. Would the
pHiuladelphia stations reaching here be an e-skip
issue, or is it some other phenomenon that causes that
kind of signal travel?
