In the story, Perksy says there's a very simple reason
why he's been able to stay on the air at WBLM:

"I work cheap, that's the secret," says
Persky, 55, the co-host of the morning show on
Portland's classic rock station WBLM (102.9 FM).
"And I don't want to work too hard."
