RE: College radio talent

>>Speaking of communications colleges... How do you ladies and gentlemen feel about them? 75% of the ppl in the business that I talk to about them swear up and down that they are a waste of time.<<

It depends on what you want out of college. If you need to learn to run the equipment, hang out at the college station and you'll learn it pretty thoroughly in about two weeks. It's not exactly brain surgery.

If, OTOH, you wish to become someone who can not only run the equipment but can talk on the air with reasonable erudition, have a wide vocabulary and not insult the audience's intelligence...and have something to fall back on should radio not pan out for you...then take four years and get your degree. You'll never regret it.
