For big radio chains, this is a big consequence of consolidation.  Now, 
when Opie and Anthony do something like this, it not only affects their 
station, it affects the entire 2nd largest broadcaster in the US.  I 
doubt they'll work again for Infinity, and I'd be surprised if Clear 
Channel hired them for radio either.  When you own a thousand licenses, 
it makes sense to keep a lower profile.

Maybe O&A will end up on XM.  Their fans might pay $10 a month to 
listen, just as HBO viewers pay for something you can't see on regular 
TV.
