Re: WCAP Carrying U Mass Football This Fall

I don't think that it's an issue of apathy or lack of interest, but one of oversaturation.
Isn't the the Boston sports market already inundated with college sports?
Besides Harvard, BC, and Northeastern for football, we also have UNH, Providence College and Brown all of which could be considered "local" to Boston being within one hour's driving time, and much closer and easier to get to than Amherst.
Toss in hockey & basketball, and BU joins the fray, not to mention UMass Lowell, and you have a lot of teams very close to Boston looking for media deals.

I believe that Hank Morse is a BU alum. And as noted elsewhere doing AM drive traffic & news on WTKK, WKLB, and WROR.
