Soviets had many multi-megawatt jammers, not to mention the usual
propaganda services to Europe.  Near (then-)Leningrad they had a 2-MW
transmitter running into the 14-tower in-line ``Zarya'' array (about
25 dB of gain) pointed at Scandinavia.
