Finding a song

A very off-the-wall question...

Been trying to find a rather popular song that aired on many MOR (definitely
recall hearing it on WHDH, have heard it once on WBOS in recent years, too)
stations in the early to mid 1980s. The problem is I only have recollection
of the tune and the melody, no memory of the lyrics or title or performer or
the exact year exist.

I know I've been rather vague and have little to go on, but is there
anywhere on the 'net that could help me out, by just starting out with a
melody? Or is there anywhere online that might even have something akin to
Billboard MOR lists from those days?
