Well., there goes the final piece of my poor detective work, it certaily
might have been...the signal wasn't great (You had me convinced you were
right when you said that 780 simulcasts 1450 (AND 1240..I don't remember
them metioning 1240) and 1240's calls are WTME which is damn close to what I
thought I heard through the static...
So the ID I heard was (apparently) 1450 and 780 WTME.....
(Sort of like the "OLD" WGIN/WGIP IDs which went something like "The WGIR
Action News Network, 930 and 1540 AM"...)where the calls belong to neither
of the frequencies being mentioned.
WGIN and WGIP are more inclined to mention their own call letters these days
