Vermonters spared pain of Sox loss

Vermont fans of the Boston Red Sox struck out Monday
afternoon if they tuned in to watch the team's season
opener on TV.
The game was carried by Boston-based Fox affiliate
WFXT Channel 25, but the local station that has picked
up those broadcasts the past three seasons remains in
negotiation with the flagship. WBVT-39, the Burlington
UPN affiliate, has yet to reach agree on a new
contract with WFXT.
