Fwd: Re: WTKK Airs Different "Best of Imus" From Network

Early on in the 96.9 relationship, WTKK deleted any reference to a
radio station no matter where it was (eg, if the report on a St. Louis
-Philadelphia ballgame was courtesy of KMOX, 'TKK deleted it.) Imus
thought this was bush-league (which it was) and got them to stop the
practice.
Today, while monitoring WKBR-AM, I noticed that they never gave a legal
ID...at 8:00 am there was an ID for WFAN and straight to local NYC
news, the murder of a Hasidic jew in Brooklyn or the Bronx, an event
not yet made national until the perp is accused perhaps.
This practice of a local station doing a "Best-of" is new to me.
Can you imagine if while Rush is on vacation and Tony Snow is doing
live fill-in, WRKO aired tapes of previous Rush shows? Premier
wouldn't like that.

I thought he liked 96.9 FM because "we can finally be heard in the Boston
area." :)
