I expected someone to make a comment like that. Such suppositions
are, umm, groundless ;<) As I'm sure you know, Joe,
"barefoot," in this context, refers to using the radio without extra
paraphernalia, such as a tuned passive loop (for example, the
Select-A-Tenna) who purpose is to improve the radio's sensitivity (and maybe
selectivity). I have a Select-A-Tenna and it does wonders for radios without
the Super Radio's high sensitivity, but it seems, at best, to make no
difference with the Super Radio and may actually make reception worse.
