My father has one on his phone and it seems to work very well,  Someone
(I forget who) asked what a telezapper was,  it is attached to your phone
and sends a signal down the line prior to your telephone ringing,  if
it's a computer calling it will disconnect the call.  They claim it also
removes your number from computer files....since my father installed it
he hasn't gotten any automated telemarketing calls.  I think he got his
at radio shack
