That's kind of funny coming from corporate operators who seem to be doing
their best to gain monopoly power in their own industry.

If that is the major argument, then who cares ?  Unless you are a Viacom
stockholder, who cares whether Arbitron or Viacom makes more money this
year?  It's just one corporation trying to get a better deal from another.
There is nothing wrong with that, but it hardly seems like a matter for
public concern.  The tone of the post on this subject seem to imply that
Arbitron is the bad guy in this fight and I just don't see it.
