You can find single-CD players in various good stereo stores. I bought a
single CD player -- a TEAC CDP 1120 -- from a local chain called P.C.
Richards. Cost me 80 bucks and it's a pretty decent deck for home use.
The only problem is you can't easily do an instant-cue on it -- it's
difficult to cue up one song on it. There are others with direct-track
access (technics used to make one like that) and Gem Sound makes one that
has variable pitch (for proffesional deejays). Sony also makes single-CD
players.
As for Minidisk players, there are rack-system components available.
Sony, Pioneer and a few other brands make them. Do a look-up on the web
for both to see where you can find them.
