My car is a 1990, but the Delco radio in it is excellent...indeed, better 
on AM than FM, though FM is nothing to be ashamed of either.  I don't know 
how it compares with newer receivers.  Aftermarket car radios have always 
had mediocre AM sections.

I don't know about that...I've used some mid-80s vintage CD players and 
found them to be very fussy about what they'll play.  CD-Rs are a toss up 
as to whether they'll play at all, ditto for ones where they push the time 
limit.  I do wish they still made single disc players though (beside 
Walkman-type), I have no need or desire for a changer.
