John Willis

got a note by way of the Greater Media mail server that 
John Willis (the elder; father of WKLB's "JW") has 
passed away.  I know that JW has been making the trek 
south to Maryland as often as possible over the past 
couple of years as both of his parents have been dealing 
with health concerns.
   my remembrances of Mr.Willis are as the host of 
Channel 5's "Good Day!" show with his co-host, Janet 
Langhart.  he seemed a likeable gent, and from the 
photos on JW's desk, a doting dad and grandfather.
   my thoughts and condolences to the Willis family.
