Re: BBC on the web



I listen to SW in my car with a Sangean portable from C. Crane.  Connecting
an old magnetic mount CB antenna to it with the appropriate adapter works
well to pull in signals and keep ignition noise out.

C Crane also sells a Y-Adapter that allows one to connect a portable to the
existing car antenna instead of adding another antenna on the outside of the
car. I have not tried this yet for Shortwave listening.

Playing the audio through the car's stereo with a cassette adapter sounds
great.
