RE: The 931 exchange



I thought they changed from 720-4080 to 266-6868 because they left Bullfinch
Place and moved to Kenmore Sq, and couldn't keep the 720.

(My guess is that by the time they moved to Brighton, the technology
advanced enough that they could now keep the 266 number.....for an
additional fee......WEEI, however, gave up it's 375 exchange for a 779
exchange when they moved, my guess is because of the fees involved for
keeping an 'out of area' exchange, and unlike WRKO, they used a whole bank
of numbers, like the FAX and so called 'whiner' lines)
