RE: The 931 exchange
I don't know the real answer, but perhaps it could have something to do with
tons of calls flooding contest lines (like THAT happens nowadays as compared
to say, the 60s and 70s). That's the only thing I can think of. I remember
that WRKO had (617) 921-1668 as thier number back in the 70s. WLLH (617)
458-8715 / 686-5101 (got a 1973 aircheck that drops the first two digits on
both lines). Exception would be WBZ's was (617) 245-5678 or something
close... remember Larry Glick 'singing' it.
