I agree, but the movie also ended with Tom delivering a package that he had
saved and brought back from the island.  I thought that was a nice touch.

By the way:  I hated the way that the movie ended.  I liked the good old
days when movies always ended with the hero getting the girl.  (And what
women would give up Major Moviestar Tom Hanks for B-level TV star Chris
Noth?)
