This story is relevant to a recent discussion here.  I had wondered why
Clear Channel would continue with a talk format on 1450 WRKD Rockland when
they also had talk on 96.7 WCME Boothbay Harbor, which covers the same areas
as WRKD.  Clear Channel has now eliminated that duplication by changing WRKD
to sports.  The station will feature a local sports show weekday mornings
from 6 to 8 AM and then network programming from ESPN and Fox.

Clear Channel now has sports on their AM stations in Skowhegan, Gardiner,
and Rockland, Maine.
